My black belt journey

When I moved to London in 2016 I wanted to learn a martial arts form and I decided to try kick boxing. My trial class was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life and although I felt I couldn’t do this I signed up for a membership. Little did I know that this would change my life. The kick boxing training not only elevated my fitness to a level I never would have thought possible, but also developed my character, my mental capabilities and my overall presence. I started noticing that I walked differently, I became more aware of my body and it gave me the mental strength and focus to cope better with stress. Going from belt to belt, it made me a stronger person in any respect.

Then there was a black belt grading scheduled on my birthday and I decided to go for it. I trained hard to deliver an excellent performance on my grading day. I literally kick boxed myself into a new era of my life: I became a black belt. The feeling I had when I passed my grading is hard to describe. It felt like a new achieved power, a super power. I named it Black Belt Presence.
